Terms of Service

1. The service

Route Tools ("we", "us") provides an API that routes tool requests (web search, scraping, document parsing, image generation, code execution) to third-party providers on your behalf. By creating an account or using the API you agree to these terms.

2. Accounts and API keys

You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping API keys secret. Revoke a key immediately from the dashboard if you believe it is compromised.

3. Credits and billing

• The service is prepaid. Credits are purchased via Stripe and debited per successful call at the prices listed in the catalog.
• Failed calls (all providers errored) are not charged.
• Promotional credits (including the signup credit) have no cash value and may expire.
• Purchased, unused credits are refundable within 30 days of purchase on request.
• Prices may change; changes apply only to calls made after the change.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• violate any law, or the terms of the underlying providers;
• scrape or target sites in ways that are unlawful in your jurisdiction;
• generate content that is illegal, or that violates third-party rights;
• probe, overload, or disrupt the service or its providers;
• resell raw access to the API without written permission.

We may suspend accounts that violate this section.

5. Third-party providers

Results are produced by third-party providers. We choose providers per request based on your routing preference and live health data, and may add, remove, or substitute providers at any time. We do not guarantee any particular provider will serve a request.

6. Availability and warranty

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We target high availability (failover is the product) but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

8. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be announced via email or the dashboard at least 14 days before taking effect.
